Aircraft Incident at Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport

Savannah – There was an aircraft incident at Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport (KSAV) this morning beginning shortly after 0830. A Pilatus PC-12, possibly N978AF, appears to have run off of one of the taxiways at SAV and into a ditch. There was a fire involved and Georgia ANG Crash/Fire responded with multiple units. Two persons were on board the aircraft and were transported by Southside EMS to Memorial Hospital. (The communications I monitored were on the Crash/Fire talkgroup at Savannah IAP, TG 415 of the SEGARRN system) The incident did cause incoming flights to be diverted for a time. As I post this, the airport is calling it an incident instead of a crash. For further information, track the local news outlets like WTOC and WSAV below.
