Savannah – Earlier today I took a trip out to the Harris Neck National Wildlife Refuge; it was the first time I’d been in a few months and the first time since the young egrets and storks hatched from the nests I saw their parents building during my last trip.  Woody Pond was a cacophony of young Great Egrets and young Wood Storks; it’s a sound that’s hard to describe – you have to experience it.  Besides the noise, seeing all of the nesting birds among the trees on Woody Pond’s islands is simply beautiful. Among the other birds I saw today were White Ibis, Anhingas, and Tri Colored Herons.
