    How do you find the call sign if not broadcast on Mode-S? Do you look them us somewhere based on the ICAO code?

      My Mode-S logs are from attended monitoring, which means I’m also listening to the scanners. If I get an ID on a flight that isn’t transmitting a flight ID, it is from tying the Mode-S hit to what I’m hearing on ATC frequencies. Usually it isn’t difficult, but if I have any doubt I’ll put “probably” in my notes or not tie the two together.
