Although there are some special event stations scheduled for this weekend, this will not be a good weekend for hunting special event stations. The ARRL DX Contest (Phone) will run from 2 March, 0000Z to 3 March, 2400Z this weekend; it is always a very busy contest and will saturate the bands when they are open for DX.
8-28 Feb, 0000Z-0000Z, KB9GSY – In Memory of JY1 The Late King Hussein of Jordan: Ayman J. Azar – KB9GSY will be operating a special event station throughout the month of February in honor of King Hussein of Jordan. King Hussein, an avid amateur radio operator, passed away on 7 February 1999. (Note: As a student of history, I find King Hussein to have been one of the most interesting personalities in the Middle East, frequently finding himself between a rock and a hard place in the Arab-Isreali wars.) KB9GSY will be operating on the 80-10 Meter amateur bands using CW, SSB, RTTY, and other digital modes. QSL via Ayman J. Azar, 4421 Clark Ave, Hammond, IN 46327. Website: kb9gsy.weebly.com/jy1.html
