This weekend sees some interesting special event stations including 3 celebrations of amateur radio club anniversaries (60, 75, and 80 years!).  War of 1812 bicentennial special event stations continue as does the 100th Anniversary of the Calgary Stampede special event.

15 June – 15 July, 0000-2359Z – CG7CWPC – 100th Anniversary of the C.W. Parker Carousel at the Burnaby Village Museum: The Burnaby Amateur Radio Club in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada is commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the C.W. 1 -29 July, 0000Z-0000Z, W2S – 200th Anniversary of Lake Pleasant, NY:  The Speculator Amateur Radio Club will be operating in celebration of the bicentennial of Lake Pleasant, NY; tentative plans are to operate from Lake Pleasant Fire Hall, Lake Pleasant Historical Society, Speculator Pavillion,  and Oak Mountain on 1, 8, and 15 July.  QSL via  W. 1-31 July, 0000Z-1200Z, CG3B – 200th Anniversary of Friendship and Peace Between Canada and USA Following War of 1812: The Niagara Peninsula Amateur Radio Club will be operating to celebrate 200 year of friendship between Canada and the United States following the War of 1812.  Special Operation Jul 1 1400Z to 2100Z. 5-15 July, CK6S – 100th Anniversary of the Calgary Stampede:  The Calgary Amateur Radio Association will be operating special event station CK6S, from July 5 to 15th, 2012 celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Calgary Stampede.  They’ll be operating around 3.825, 7.180, 14.250, 21.320, and 28.475.  QSL via CK6S/VE6AO QSL instructions on QRZ.com.  Note:  All amateurs within the City of Calgary can also use special prefixes CJ6 for VA6 and CK6 for VE6 for the same period.

14 July, 1500Z-2300Z, W5I –  The Red River Bridge War Special Event:  The Grayson County Amateur Radio Club will be operating to remember the Red River Bridge War (or the Toll Bridge War) which was a 1931 bloodless boundary conflict between Oklahoma and Texas over an existing toll bridge and a new free free bridge crossing the Red River.
