Special Event Stations to Look For, 26-28 May 2012

Archives

I’ve already worked the Special Event station I most wanted to pick up this weekend:  W9IMS for the Indianapolis 500 on 7.234 LSB this evening.  Ever since I upgraded to General Class, it just isn’t a proper Indy 500 weekend unless I work W9IMS.  There are other special event stations this weekend as well.  This weekend is of course Memorial Day weekend; besides the one station listed below, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some Memorial Day special events active.  It also happens to be a big anniversary for one of America’s best known landmarks.

There are two 75th Anniversary Station for the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco that will be operating on 26-27 May.  From 0000-2359Z, N6G will be operating near 21.265, 14.265, and 7.265. QSL to Will Pattullo, 161 Presidential Cir, Healdsburg, CA 95448.
