Georgia’s Fire Danger Rating

I just checked the Fire Danger Rating map at the Georgia Forestry Commission website and saw that the entire state is at either a High rating or higher.  All we can do is pray for rain and hope for the best.  With the high temperatures and low humidity we’ve had lately (I think I saw 30% humidity yesterday) we’re definitely in a precarious situation.

The Southeast Georgia Radio Facebook page is a good place to keep up with the active fires in the Long County area as well as what is going on in some of the surrounding counties.  My Public Safety Monitoring page also has fire and forestry frequencies for the Coastal Georgia area.
